New Short Story Out!

New Short Story Out!

My favorite publication, Daily Science Fiction, has published a short story of mine! This excellent online outlet emails you a short story every day and you should read it!

You know the real funny thing? I've been so busy, have felt so pressed for time, have had my head in so many different clouds in the last while, I actually missed the email from them with my own story in it. Being used to getting their email every day, I take a minute to read the story if I have time and skip over it if I don't, sometimes coming back later and sometimes not. The other day I skipped it so blithely I didn't notice the title or my own name in the subject line.

So. In addition to the delight I feel at having this story published by an entity I'm such a fan of, I've been reminded to take time to breathe, slow down, and pay attention. I'm going to get back into the habit of reading it every day. If you don't feel like you have two to six minutes in a day to read a good story, the story isn't the problem.

Edit: And then I initially published this blog post without a link to the story. Lessons can sure compound on each other sometimes, huh?
